WEEKLY OFFERTORY: $6,055.
PARISH TO PARISH COLLECTION: Next weekend we have the opportunity to help provide grants to parishes in NH experiencing financial difficulties. Please be generous.
SACRIFICIAL GIVING: Today’s readings are about being chosen and sent. The prophet Amos was chosen by the Lord and sent to use his talents for the people of God. The Gospel recounts the story of the sending of the twelve disciples; and in the second reading, St. Paul reminds us that we, too, are chosen. For what have I been chosen? To whom have I been sent?
LOST AND FOUND: Please take a minute to look through the items on the table in back of church.

FROM RESPECT LIFE: The Church is a loving mother who has a zest for life and serves life everywhere, but she can become a protective "mamma bear" when the life of her innocent, helpless cubs is threatened. Everyone in this mega-community is a somebody with an extraordinary destiny. Everyone is a somebody in whom God has invested an infinite love. That is why the Church reaches out to the unborn, the suffering, the poor, our elders, the physically and emotionally challenged, those caught in the web of addictions.

REFLECTION OF THE WEEK
First Reading: Amos 7:12-15
Second Reading: Ephesians 1:3-14
Gospel: Mark 6:7-13
In practical terms, what does trust in God's providence mean for us? Should we sell the house and beg for a living each day? Some people are called to that heroic form of witness, but not everyone. It is prudent to plan for the future. We must feed our families. We should be able to enjoy the good things of this earth.
But at the same time, we have to be careful not to let our possessions possess us. We have to use our blessings to help the poor. We have to recognize that all that we have comes from God. So all of us are called to bear witness to our trust in God's providence, but each of us is called to do it in our own way.

Practical day-to-day topics explore ways we can come to a deeper relationship with the Lord and with others.
